Nihongi scan problems[edit]

Hi! I've tried replacing the scan you started with with a different one of the same edition that has all its pages. I also separated it into two separate volumes. Let me know if you have any problems with it. Prosody (talk) 04:39, 20 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

re: Thanks for proofreading[edit]

I thank you for doing so much on the Nihongi in the first place—my work would have been far worse without your help in the first place. By the way, I was thinking of proofreading the Kojiki—we only have a text version (not scan backed) of a shortened copy of Chamberlain’s translation, but we do have a scan of his original work. Would you be interested in doing some work or helping out on that project? (As an additional by-the-way, I have also started up TASJ, in which Chamberlain’s translation was published.) @TE(æ)A,ea. Thank you for inviting me to work on the proofreading of Kojiki. I have checked the contents and found that Japanese is used in some places, but don't you have any problems with the input? I have been busy recently and it is difficult to input the whole text, but please let me know if there is anything I can do. I have also added a link to TASJ to Portal:Japan.   • CES1596: If you are busy, do not worry so much; I am working on a few other Japanese texts at the moment, anyway. It was really an offer of interest (of course, your time considering). I might have a little trouble with the kanji, in which case your help would be appreciated; but the text itself I could proofread. If you would be interested in proofreading some of it, in your spare time, or validating it at your leisure, etc., feel welcome; do as you feel with this information. Given that you are busy, (either now or in general, it matters not,) I will not rush to the completion of the Kojiki—although when I have finished a few of my other Japanese works on hand (TASJ volume 2, The Tale of Genji, Keene’s Anthology of Japanese Literature, and Captain F. Brinkley’s The Art of Japan, if you have any interest in simply recreationally reading those texts), I will be happy to notify you here, if you do not mind. As for the portal work, I thank you; although with how much is now presently available about Japan, it seems that the portal may need to be divided to allow for more structured ordering of works—although that is a task for another day.
