Gday. I see that you asked CM some questions, and I thought that I could provide a couple of good reading links to address some of the questions. To note that we tend to look to utilise templates for formatting, so use {{center}} rather than <center> as we look to keep more up-to-date with the preferred means to code. To note that Wikisource:Scriptorium is a pretty casual place to seek help and where the majority of the active community hangs out.

- You have seen that I have super-heated the validation of a page, no expectation that you will do all of that, just it is an example. We utilise <ref> and the footnotes will become endnote when we transclude the pages of the chapter, and that becomes a tidiness matter. Also, we look to wikilink authors, and works, and for a newbie, the second is usually a lot easier than the second, so no particular fuss there. The mysterious Header toggle button[edit]
When proofreading in the Page: namespace and you have your toolbar turned on in "my preferences" (Show edit toolbar (requires JavaScript)), then you will see the button 
in your toolbar, and clicking it toggles the header/footer on and off. In this space we put the relevant components for top and bottoms of pages, usually by use of the template {{RunningHeader}}, so for example {{RunningHeader|Stanhope|3|Stanhope}} produces

Personally, I have my header/footer set to open in the Page: namespace and I achieved this by activating that option in my preferences (Show header and footer fields when editing in the Page namespace.) — billinghurst sDrewth 14:08, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
Translation template[edit]
Cool, it looks as though Mazzei had the same idea about templates that I had, and has already gotten it working. The volume on the Biloxi langage will make a nice addition to Wikisource, and it's good to see someone tackling it with enthusiasm. --EncycloPetey (talk) 22:37, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
Author pages for Dictionary[edit]
Is the Dorsey author linked from the work the deceased author of 1895? Or are we talking about a son of the same name? If the second, give me a yell and I will disambiguate the pages to give you the ability to add the work to both author pages. — billinghurst sDrewth 14:04, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Billinghurst: actually I do not know, I guess he is the one who deceased in 1895 but I cannot confirm. It is possible since in in this page, it is written "the late James Owen Dorsey. By the way, thanks for your work on these pages. Pamputt (talk) 14:12, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
