Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (2022)

[edit]

Hello. We are very sorry that your recent edit has been caught by our edit filter, it was an apparent mistake. The filter has been corrected. If a similar situation repeated (hopefully not), do not hesitate and ask for rectification e. g. at the WS:AN. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 16:04, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! It's my first edit to Wikisource (and first new article in general). I haven't found a compiled version of it with all its five amendments anywhere on the internet, and it's quite a task to go into every PDF of each amendment on the UN website to find out what's changed, so I've done myself the compilation, is it a problem? I didn't upload two tables (t's marked with XXXX) because I was out of time to learn, but I'll do as soon as possible. Is the layout up to standards? I just "copied" one from another project. Also, I still want do indentations do clarify the articles caput from its enumerations. 21:46, 30 January 2023 (UTC) Yurinsm (talk) 21:46, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I am afraid that is quite a problem. Wikisource hosts works as they were published and explicitely forbids compilations. So unless there is a source which has them published together, the only thing that can be done is to transcribe the non-amended version and the later published amendments separately. They can be linked together in the "notes" in the header, and we can also found e.g. Portal:Vienna Convention on Road Traffic where they all would be listed and linked. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 23:23, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Actually there is one made by UNECE (https://unece.org/DAM/trans/conventn/Conv_road_traffic_EN.pdf) with the first two amendments. Comprises most of the changes, although leaves behind the latest three they add or change the wording on just a couple of articles.

This looks like the 2006 edition, so if we use this source, we should move the text to Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (2006). Later ammendments can be transcribed separately. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 09:25, 1 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
