[edit] Cirt
[edit] 2009-06 admin
Cirt joined English Wikisource in November 2008 to add Byron v. Rajneesh Foundation International. He has just hit 2000 edits here, with 213 distinct pages in the main namespace (You can see a partial list of them at User:Cirt/Contributions) and 127 distinct author pages.
Due the large number of new pages, Cirt has been working hard to keep {{New texts}} ticking over, with 57 edits to the template.[1] As a result, he has ended up in a bit of conflict with Sherurcij (who has 134 edits and has historically been the only regular maintainer of the page). He created a draft guideline (User:Cirt/Template:New texts/Guideline), participated in the recent discussion (Wikisource:Scriptorium/Archives/2009-03#Themes on "New texts") and has just set up a distasteful theme (see Template talk:New texts#World No Tobacco Day).
He is a sysop on four other projects, including en.WP, so he knows his way around and won't break the wiki. He has reverted the vandals[2] and welcomed the newbies[3]. He was recently promoted to "autopatrolled" status by Pathoschild, with comment "trusted user" [4] I think we can go one step better and give him the mop as well. - Support No joke, I actually always assumed he was an admin. I looked at my watchlist, saw the section "Cirt", and thought it must have been a reconfirmation. —Anonymous DissidentTalk 15:18, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
