@Beeswaxcandle thanks for your welcome. I'm still learning my way around here. Am attempting to transcribe Index:Aurora Australis.djvu.

Ouch, there is no scan text layer for that work. I do hope that you have found the OCR gadget to make it easier for you. I have tried it on some pages and it seems to be quite capable of doing the task. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:47, 16 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
Congrats on the work. Do please list it on {{new texts}} so it displays on the main page. We do ask that you explicitly state the work in the edit summary. You should also rotate out/archive a work when you add yours. — billinghurst sDrewth 10:02, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Beeswaxcandle Thanks – and thanks for your help with the wiki syntax. Should I not wait for it to be 100% validated first before adding it to "new texts"? Frankieroberto (talk) 20:12, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
It only has to be proofread to be listed as a "new text". 100% validation is only required for featured texts. --EncycloPetey (talk) 21:02, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Good get ...[edit]

Job well done to find a better quality image than this. Favour to go with that. When we have {{raw image}} it means that we have a local copy of the image that needs to be cleaned up and moved to Commons. Where something is moved to Commons, or as you found a better quality image at Commons, we wish to get rid of the redundant copy here, so please consider marking the local file copy with {{sdelete}} with a note that the file has been transwiki'd. (hope that make sense) Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 05:15, 21 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I'll do that in future. --Frankieroberto (talk) 08:23, 21 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
