Adding source[edit]

Hi PM. If you are adding works like After Many Years‎ without the aid of a scan to support the text, then would you be so kind to add the source of your work to the talk page of the work. We would normally do this using the {{textinfo}} template. We do this as we can often get different {{versions}} of works, and we need to be able to separate them by source, and for enWS this is akin to a citation at enWP. Thanks for your assistance with this. — billinghurst sDrewth 03:45, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Banjo Paterson poetry[edit]

Please do not add authorship categories. Categories on Wikisource are never used for authorship. Works by each author are listed on the author's "Author:" space page. --EncycloPetey (talk) 04:37, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

author copyright templates[edit]

There are two predominant author templates for old works

  • {{PD-old}} where born 1914 and before (soon to be 1915)
  • {{pd/1923|xxxx}} for pre 1923 where xxxx = year of death; then
  • 1923 onwards we get into a mishmash of author criteria as explained at Help:Copyright tags
