"Empty" pages[edit]

@Billinghurst, @Beleg Tâl: I see from the history you've gone back and forth on marking some pages of this work as "empty" (which I had no idea the pagelist tag supported, btw). Coming from the backlog at Special:LonelyPages I landed on Page:Sonnets and Ballate of Guido Cavalcanti.djvu/72, which shows up there because it's not linked from the index due to being marked "empty", but which does contain English text. You may want to have another look to see whether the current pagelist setup is actually correct, and then delete any orphaned subpages of this work. --Xover (talk) 07:05, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

<shrug> Happy for you to tell me what you think should happen to Page:Sonnets and Ballate of Guido Cavalcanti.djvu/72 which has the commentary with the Italian.

The identified page and /102 seems to be the only even numbered pages between /28 and /150. It is a work space, so I don't think that we should get too hung up about null pages. /72 seems to be the only page that needs a decision.

@Billinghurst: Well, I'm not familiar with this work so I wouldn't want to be too assertive, but I imagine the course would be something like transcluding only the English bit. I would also be inclined to suggest that since the pages are not actually empty, per se, and are included in the numbering sequence, they should not be marked as empty. I know zero about the work, I just did fixes and limitations so the transcription work remained within scope.

There is no perfect way to do this. Empty is different from "no text", and traditionally has been used to mark pages to not be transcluded; please don't get caught up in ThomasV's syntax. Marking them any other way just has them someone work on them in enWS. When they are worked at at the sister wiki, then we can probably make that suggested change to show the interwikis, though doing now is just an invitation to work upon them.

Orphaned pages[edit]

The following pages have recently turned up in the orphaned pages list. They seem to have been newly created by an unregistered user or users.
