Charles is a greatly experienced Wiki...ian, and sysop on enWP, with other high level expertise and exposure in that wiki. He has been undertaking a high level of work on our DNB project, and multiple interwiki, and helpfully watching over us from another time zone. I believe that with the administrator tools he will prove to be more useful to us, especially in the vandalism detection and reversion space. Some history - I have been a wiki admin for six years, first on Sensei's Library, and since 2004 on enWP, where I have also served as Arbitrator. I was going to go gently as far as considering being an admin here was concerned, but the current rash of vandal attacks seems a good reason not to be that reticent, and accept the kind nomination. I have been fairly active here in 2009 (having got through around 1% of the DNB articles, numerically speaking). I did hundreds of conversions of Catholic Encyclopedia articles on enWP, during 2008, and most of the DNB articles I do are for immediate use (16th or 17th century material), new articles or filling out stubs. I'm also a co-author of How Wikipedia Works, and that can stand in for my general ideas on wiki stuff, though I'll certainly answer any questions people may have.
